FAQ

Bearable is a health tracking app that was built by people with chronic health issues and launched in March 2020. Bearable makes it easier for people to understand all the variables that impact their health. So that they can discover what actually improves and worsens their health.

Bearable is also the #1 symptom tracking app in the US, UK, and EU.

Bearable’s Mission is to help 100 Million People to improve their health. So Health Challenges are a way for us to reach even more people that want more control over their health.

Throughout 2021, Bearable team member, Jesse Jan, tracked weekly health challenges and wrote about them on our blog. As a result, he was able to find self-care routines that gave him more control over his health … as well as some that didn’t work at all.

He wants to share this experience with other people so that they can learn what improves and worsens their health.

No. These challenges are available to anyone that’s interested in learning about and improving their health. The app can help you to understand the impact of the challenge for free. But it’s totally optional.

Feel free to just join the community Discord. Or even just keep track using a pen and paper.

In 2021, Bearable team member, Jesse Jan, has been tracking the impact of different forms of self-care on his health. Including quitting caffeine.

Along with a number of other self-care habits that he tracked this year, Jesse Jan found that quitting caffeine required the least effort and had the biggest impact. So it seemed like a sensible place to start.

Privacy is a really important part of the Bearable User experience. Especially as many of our users track the symptoms of chronic illness in the App.

We chose an anonymous community platform so that people partaking in the challenge don’t need to share their identity but still get the benefits of being part of a community of like minded people.

Disclaimer. Self-Care challenges are meant as a fun way to build consistent, healthy habits, and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always progress at a pace that feels appropriate and healthy for you.
